Daniel Morales is a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher born in Gran Canaria and trained in Urban and Contemporary Dances since 2002. His vision focuses on the search for his own language that he has been developing through deepening creative processes, trying to prevent them from becoming formal in a mere isolated scenic singularity.
Resident in Tenerife since 2013, at which time he is a member of Tenerife Danza Lab for four years, a platform for experimentation, dissemination and pedagogy in Dance, resident in the Tenerife Auditorium. In this period he worked with dancers / choreographers such as Daniel Abreu, Laura Marrero, Paloma Hurtado, Helena Berthelius, Carmen Macías and Sara Wiktorovicz, among others. Since 2017 he has been a dancer with Cocoon Dance Company (Germany), Cía. Nómada (Tenerife) and Colectivo Lamajara (Barcelona).
In 2014 he began creating his own shows, with which he received special mentions at the International Contemporary Dance Competition of the Canary Islands MASDANZA, Choreographic Competition of Tetuán (Madrid), HOP Festival (Barcelona) and the International Solo Competition of the Gdansk Dance Festival (Poland), obtaining the Second Prize in 2017 and the First Prize in 2019.
