María Luisa Corbacho

Born in Mallorca, she began her artistic training at the Teatre Principal de Palma. Since 2001, she has been taking classes with Maestro F. Lázaro and participating in various courses offered by S. Orfila, B. Giaiotti, E. Giménez, L. Climent, R. Giménez, A. Mª Sánchez, E. Fiorillo, V. Cortes, G. Bumbry and N. Gravilan.

In 2009 she entered the "Plácido Domingo" Perfection Center at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia directed by Maestro A. Zedda, and trained with masters such as JM Pérez-Sierra, E. Lloris, AL Chova, K. Sallmann, C Santoro, R. Vignoles, J. Dients Bladin ... She has worked under the baton of conductors such as Z. Mehta, V. Gergiev, L. Maazel, T. Pons, A. Ros Marbà, Voronkoff, J. Mª Moreno, E. Orciuolo, I. Metzmacher, JM Pérez-Sierra, E. García Asensio, O. Meir Wellber, O. Díaz, P. Halffter and with stage directors such as H. Brodchaus, G. del Monaco, L. Pascual, I. García , F. López, G. Delo in addition to La Fura del Baus. Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as: Schwertleite (Die Walküre); Hécuba (Les Troyens), Santuzza and Mamma Lucia (Cavalleria Rustiscana); Grandmother (The short life); Marta and Pantalis (Mefistofele); Anna (Maror) from Palau; Zia Principessa, Abbess and Zita (Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi); Suzuki (Madame Butterfly), Azucena (Il trovatore), Amneris (Aida), Annina (La traviata), Fenena (Nabucco), Quickly (Falstaff), Emilia (Otello), Maddalena (Rigoletto);

In the choral symphonic repertoire she has sung Mozart’s Requiem and Mozart's Coronation Mass; The Haendel Messiah; Stabat Mater by Pergolesi; Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony; Verdi’s Requiem, at the Teatro Real de Madrid, Teatro de la Maestranza, Campoamor Theater, Coburg Staatstheater, Euskalduna Palace, Pamplona Baluarte Theater, Cervantes Theater (Málaga), La Farándula Theater (Sabadell), Principal Theater of Palma de Mallorca, among others. Among his recent and upcoming commitments, Azucena in the new production of Il trovatore at the Teatro Calderón in Valladolid with Óliver Díaz, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the Villamarta Theater on its 30. anniversary, the 8th Mahler symphony with the Orchestra of Valencia and its principal conductor, Mamma Lucia in the Liceu of Barcelona and in the Opera of Sabadell and The Flying Dutchman with the Opera of Vigo and the Real Filharmonía de Galicia.
